Player Overview

Jalen Mills played four years at LSU, being named to the CBS Sports All-American Team in his senior season. A leg injury prevented him from playing a full year his senior season.

Mills might be a bit undersized to be an imposing free safety in the NFL, and from what I've watched isn't very physical. He may have to transition to corner at the next level, which is a position he's been practicing at the Senior Bowl.

How He Makes the Eagles Better and Creates Problems for the Redskins

Jalen Mills, by all training camp observation accounts I've read on the internet, has been a pleasant surprise in camp.

Mills is running with the 2's and 3's mostly, but has shown some physicality, which was not his calling card in college. If Mills can make the team as a 4th or 5th corner he can provide decent depth to the Eagles secondary. Honestly, I can't see Mills causing many problems for the Redskins. He may give some troubles to Josh Huff and Chris Givens, but Jackson, Garcon and Crowder are different animals.
