Washington Redskins Select Matt Ioannidis in Fifth Round

The Redskins are hoping to land top value at this stage of the draft, as Scot McCloughan selects Matt Ioannidis in the fifth round.

Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

By many accounts, Scot "McLovin" McCloughan is knocking this draft out of the park. Others have not yet had their skirt blown up, so to speak. After trading completely out of the fourth round, the Redskins make two (scheduled) picks in the fifth round all within six picks of each other. First up, at #152 overall, the Redskins have taken Matt Ioannidis out of Temple. Finally...some beef!

Here is Scott (HogHunter) and I taking a quick five to react to the first four rounds of the Washington draft.

Check out our newest "lunch pail" player, according to Mike Mayock:

Based on who is on our roster, and the kind of players McLovin seems to favor, Ioannidis figures to have a real shot to get on the field early and often for the Redskins in 2016, right?
