The Washington Redskins have landed the first visit for free agent CB Josh Norman on Friday, and reportedly have already offered him a contract. He unexpectedly became a free agent on Wednesday when the Carolina Panthers rescinded the franchise tag they had place on him.
Norman is looking for a big deal, reportedly seeking $15+ million per year. The Redskins currently have ~$12 million in cap space for 2016, but could easily make room with a few cuts. Chris Culliver is recovering from another ACL injury, but his suspension this season triggered a clause in his contract that eliminated all remaining guaranteed money. McCloughan indicated that the Redskins would keep Culliver earlier in the offseason, but things can change when other options become available. Other salary cap moves could include restructuring or extending player's contracts.

However, Norman has changed agents, so it would be a few days before he could finalize anything with the new team, source also says.

The Skins have a very legit offer on the table for free agent CB Josh Norman I'm told. 49ers' interest is very strong as well among others
