Redskins Re-Sign Junior Galette to 1-Year Deal

The pass-rusher agreed to another "prove it" contract, making him a free agent in 2017.

The Redskins finally ended the stalemate in contract negotiations with Junior Galette. The talented pass-rusher, who did not play at all in 2015 after rupturing his Achilles in training camp, signed a 1-year contract worth up to $4.1 million.

If Galette performs like he expects himself to, that will make him a very hot commodity indeed in the 2017 free agency class. Washington's contract with Galette does not include a first right of refusal clause like the one just previously ended, meaning any team is able to sign him without the Redskins having the ability to first match.
