Player Overview
De'Runnya Wilson is a massive receiver, capable of winning against most corners on sheer size alone. A former Mr. Basketball of the State of Alabama, Wilson uses his basketball skills on the field. He does a wonderful job of using his body to box out defenders and shield them from the ball. His routes appear to be pretty lumbering at times, taking a while to get where he's going. Wilson also spends a lot of time trying to juke his defender off the line when in press coverage, instead of taking one step and shooting past the defender. That being said, Wilson has a ton of potential and quarterbacks will always be willing to throw him a 50/50 ball.
Strengths
- Wilson has a huge frame that he uses to block out defenders.
- Has great hands. Can catch the ball from a number of angles.
- Pretty good blocker. Frequently moves corners backwards when blocking, doesn't just get in the way. Wilson really gets into the defender's pads when blocking.
Nice cut block here by De'Runnya Wilson. Benefit of having big WRs. Springs slot guy for a score. pic.twitter.com/Pto5NhilPk

Weaknesses
- Wilson isn't exceedingly quick in short spaces, but that's probably to be expected for someone with his size.
- Could use a little more polish on his routes.
- Can do a little too much dancing on the line when trying to get off press coverage.
