The Redskins have ruled out three players for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. ILB Su’a Cravens(elbow), CB Quinton Dunbar(concussion), and OL Vinston Painter(calf) will all miss the Redskins final regular season game. Su’a Cravens is the biggest loss, but Quinton Dunbar has 2 career interceptions and they both came courtesy of Eli Manning.(Cravens also has 1 career INT, and it was also gifted from Mr. Manning in the same game.) Vintson Painter is a backup OL, and would have been inactive for this game even if healthy. The Redskins also placed starting safety Donte Whitner, Sr. on IR this week with a calf injury. He was replaced on the roster with Josh Evans who was with the team earlier in the year.
TE Jordan Reed is listed as questionable, but both Reed and Coach Gruden seem optimistic that he will be playing on Sunday. RB Rob Kelley has been wearing a knee brace, and practicing on a limited basis. He is listed as questionable, but Gruden said they wouldn’t know if he’ll be available until they can evaluate him this weekend. Spencer Long(ankle) was also limited all week and is questionable, but expected to play.
The Redskins have 6 players listed as questionable on the defense, with all of them expected to be available on Sunday. DL Chris Baker(ankle), ILB Will Compton(knee), OLB Ryan Kerrigan(elbow), OLB Trent Murphy(foot), ILB Martrell Spaight(shoulder), and CB Bashaud Breeland(ankle) were all limited for most or all of the week, with only Kerrigan practicing fully today.
The Giants have two players ruled out, Jason Pierre-Paul(core muscle) and S Nat Behre(concussion). They also have four players listed as questionable; LB B.J. Goodson(concussion), CB Janoris Jenkins(back), TE Jerell Adams(shoulder), and CB Coty Sensabaugh(ankle). With the Giants not playing for anything this week, injured players could be limited or inactive. The big name on the questionable list is CB Janoris Jenkins who sat last week with a back injury and could be inactive again.
