Long time Washington Redskins long snapper Nick Sundberg returned to practice yesterday after missing the last two games due to a back injury. This was bad news for his replacement Rick Lovato who was released today. Sundberg will take his job back this week when the Redskins visit the Arizona Cardinals.
The Redskins also signed defensive lineman A.J. Francis(6’5”, 330 lbs) from the team’s practice squad. Washington released DL Jordan Hill to make room for Lovato, but the Jaguars claimed him on waivers. Francis went undrafted out of Maryland in 2013, and started his NFL career as an UDFA for the Miami Dolphins. He bounced around several teams before being signed to the Redskins practice squad last month.

UPDATE: Redskins have reportedly signed FAU DL Trevon Coley(6'1", 307lbs) to the practice squad.
