Good morning.
Indeed, it is. The news on Trent Williams knee is good. No structural damage found and it sounds like he could even play on Sunday. His injury on Sunday against Detroit came at the exact moment when we were all feeling the sting of a last-second defeat. For me, it wasn’t until later that night that I realized some of that pain had to do with Trent. It was kind of like my mind acted quickly to suppress the agony that would accompany the loss of arguably the best player on the team.
The update on Trent’s knee has me feeling rather good this morning. I thought I would kick off this morning’s discussion with that, and ask you how you are feeling about this game against Cincinnati. I think yesterday we all semi-agreed this game is must-win, although technically, it is not a true, playoff-style must-win. I want to give this team at least some props—after all, they have found themselves in must-win situations insanely early in seasons before. I believe this win is crucial, but the season is not over if the Redskins aren’t victorious in England.
Tonight we record The Audible. I have some good comments from yesterday to cover, but feel free to add more fuel to the discussion. Sebastian Salazar will be joining us in the basement tonight, and this week the Spirit of Sonny will be flowing to help us lick our wounds. The best part about the Spirit of Sonny is that there is always a reason for it!
