The Washington Redskins signed TE Anthony McCoy today and released CB Deshazor Everett. McCoy was a sixth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. He was cut by the Seahawks on Saturday. He missed the past two seasons with torn Achilles. He has accumulated 31 receptions for 437 yards and 3 TDs over his career.
Must Reads
After going unclaimed, WR Evan Spencer has reverted to the team's IR. He still has not been cleared of his concussion. Once cleared, Spencer will likely negotiate an injury settlement with the team and be free to sign with whichever team he chooses. He wouldn't be allowed to sign with the Redskins for at least six weeks.
In practice squad news, the Redskins have signed FB Ray Agnew and OLB Ryan Delaire. Those signings leave the PS with a total of nine members meaning there's one spot left. It would make sense for CB Deshazor Everett to claim that final spot if he clears waivers.
