Griffin’s $16.15 million option for 2016 would be a sticking point in a trade, but he does have the ability to renegotiate if he desires. Polian said perhaps the best thing for Griffin to do is renegotiate. "That’s a lot of money to gamble [on someone] who has a significant injury history going all the way back to college," Polian said.
