The Week 1 injury report was short and the Redskins active players were relatively healthy, but it's a new week and we are already in midseason injury report form.  The Redskins suffered several injuries in the season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins last week.  Starting strong safety Duke Ihenacho was placed on season-ending IR after fracturing and dislocating his wrist.  WR DeSean Jackson suffered a hamstring injury that could keep him off the field for a month or longer. CB DeAngelo Hall was limited from the rib injury that kept him out of Sunday's game for a few plays in the first half.

Three Redskins players will definitely be out of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Jackson is on the shelf for the next few weeks, and  CB Justin Rogers(plantar fasciitis) and ILB Martrell Spaight(Concussion) will both be out this week. The Redskins already signed CB Will Blackmon for depth at the CB position. Bashaud Breeland returns from suspension this week, but the Redskins will lose CB Chris Culliver to a one week suspension on Sunday. DeAngelo Hall was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, and is probable for Sunday's game. David Amerson is still David Amerson... The Redskins haven't addressed the depth problem at ILB with Spaight's injury, but could sign promising UDFA Terrance Plummer from the practice squad this week.

Jordan Reed's name has once again showed up on the injury report to the surprise of no one. Reed reportedly suffered a quad injury on Thursday that limited him in practice the rest of the week.  Jay Gruden called the injury minor, and Reed insists that he will play this week.  With DeSean Jackson out, the Redskins can ill-afford to lose another one of their top receiving targets. Last week, Reed was second on the team with 63 receiving yards, and the team's only TD. Derek Carrier played last week, catching two passes for 8 yards, while Anthony McCoy was inactive. Get well soon Mr. Glass.

Other injuries this week include NT Terrance Knighton, who was limited all week with a rib injury. He is questionable, but says he is good to go this week, and the team is just being cautious with him. OT/TE Tom Compton missed last week's game after being kicked in the calf, and is questionable this week after being limited in practice all week. OLB Jackson Jeffcoat also missed last week's game with a leg injury and is questionable this week, but should be active. C Kory Lichtensteiger(finger) and LT Trent Williams(ankle) both appeared on the injury report, but both are listed as probable and will be on the field Sunday.

The St. Louis Rams only have 6 players listed this week, but that includes 60% of their RB depth chart. Tre Mason and Todd Gurley were both out last week, and both practiced fully this week. Gurley was the Rams first round draft pick, and is still recovering from a bad knee injury that ended his college career. There is a chance he gets his first NFL start on the forgiving turf of FedEx Field, but it is much more likely that Tre Mason is on the field with Gurley waiting one more week. But Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher is keeping that option open.
