The Washington Redskins are looking to get their first win of the 2015 season against the St.Louis Rams, Sunday September 20th. They will be facing a Rams team with weapons on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin is a play maker that could give the Redskins some trouble in the open field and seven year veteran Kenny Britt isn't a slouch either. The wide receiver/cornerback battle between the Rams offense and Redskins defense should be something to look forward too.
On the defensive side for the Rams, they're underrated and should get more attention because of the level of talent they have in their front seven. James Laurinaitis is the heart and soul of their defense, however, having Robert Quinn, Chris Long and Aaron Donald on the defensive line is a bonus. The Redskins offensive line will definitely be tested once again this week.
Because Desean Jackson will be out with a hamstring injury, Rashad Ross may take his place. Ross has been an impressive and productive player for the Redskins and had an impressive preseason. He led the team with 25 catches, 266 yards and four touchdowns.
Also look for for Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith to see time in this game. Pay close attention to Smith. It is well known what Kerrigan can bring to the Redskins defense.
