The injury report was short and the Redskins active players were relatively healthy, and we all knew that wasn't going to last long. The Redskins suffered several injuries in the season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Starting strong safety Duke Ihenacho was lost for the season after fracturing and dislocating his wrist. WR DeSean Jackson suffered a hamstring injury that could keep him off the field for a month or longer. CB DeAngelo Hall was limited from the rib injury that kept him out of Sunday's game for a few plays in the first half.
There are some lesser publicized injuries that also appear on today's report. NT Terrance Knighton was held out of practice today with sore ribs, but says the team is just being cautious and he plans to play this week. CB Justin Rogers has a foot injury that kept him out of practice today. Bashaud Breeland is returning to the team after a Week 1 suspension, but CB Chris Culliver will be tagging in to the timeout box for a week. The team signed Will Blackmon for depth, and to maintain the team's anyone but Amerson policy on the field. Rookie ILB Martrell Spaight also suffered a concussion on Sunday while playing special teams.
There are a few injuries we knew about last week, and are still showing up on the report this week. Kory Lichtensteiger injured his finger last Friday in practice, but played through it Sunday. Tom Compton got kicked in the calf, and was inactive Sunday. Trent Williams didn't appear on the injury report, but Jay Gruden mentioned that his foot had been stepped on during practice and it wasn't a major concern. Williams was limited today. The good news on this week's report is OLB Jackson Jeffcoat returning to full practice after missing last week's game. The team signed Houston Bates from the practice squad for depth when it was known Jeffcoat couldn't play, but he has since been released and re-signed to the PS.

The St. Louis Rams running back depth chart is represented well on the injury report this week. Only two of the Rams 5 RBs are not listed, Isaiah Pead and my favorite last-minute fantasy pick up in Week 1, Benny Cunningham. Rookie Todd Gurley is not expected to be ready this week. Tre Mason, however could return to the lineup this week.
