There's been a lot of uncertainty surrounding RGIII's status, but Bruce Allen cleared all that up today. Allen said on air with WTOP that Griffin was cleared by doctors on Thursday night.
If you'll recall, RGIII suffered the concussion back on August 20th in the Redskins third preseason game against the Lions. He's been going through the NFL's concussion protocol since then.
Now that he's cleared, Griffin can officially suit up and play in games... or be waived/traded. We still don't know whether RGIII will be the QB2 or QB3 behind Kirk Cousins Sunday against the Dolphins. Yesterday, HC Jay Gruden basically said the backup job would likely go to Colt McCoy for this game, but an official announcement hasn't yet been made.
