The Redskins have reportedly signed a second TE, replacing Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen who were both placed on injured reserve today. The team officially announced the signing of Ernst Brun, Jr. earlier today, and Scot McCloughan mentioned that several TE's would be working out today. Jean Sifrin, who was an undrafted free agent that was released by the Colts 2 months ago, worked out for the team but was not signed. D.J. Williams had a workout scheduled for later in the day and was reportedly signed to a contract shortly after.
Williams was a 5th round pick for the Green Bay Packers in 2011. He spent two season with the team, but was released before the 2013 season. He was then claimed on waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars where he played in 7 games, starting 1, before being released during the season. H also had brief stints with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but has not recorded a regular season stat since his last season with the Packers in 2012.
