From the Redskins:

The countdown is officially on as the Washington Redskins open training camp in three days at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. Redskins fans are encouraged to fill out their free Training Camp Fan Invitation, which is available by directing your browser to www.csnwashington.com/RedskinsTrainingCamp.

Since moving to the facility in Richmond, Va. in 2013, more than 160,000 fans have been in attendance each year to watch the Redskins prepare for the regular season and enjoy other unique fan experiences.

During the team's stay in Richmond and throughout the 2014 calendar year, Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation youth programs directly impacted more than 9,000 children in the Richmond community. Events and activities impacting Richmond youth included the team's annual High School Coaches Clinic, a Back to School Shopping Spree presented by Macy's, Richmond All-Stars VIP Training Camp Experiences, the 4th & Life High School Football Forum, the Coaches in the Classroom program, the Get the Ball Rolling Flag Football Tournament and more.

Helmet Walk, a popular training camp tradition, occurs following every session, as players select young fans at random from the crowd to carry their helmets and walk with them on the practice field. On Saturday, Aug. 15, Fan Appreciation Day will feature a new addition - Jerseys Off Our Backs" presented by Bon Secours - during which each player will provide his official camp jersey to a fan following practice. Recipient selection will be at random and will include children only.

Food trucks will be set up throughout the duration of camp including a number of local Richmond vendors. This year's vendors include:

Johnny Rockets
Smoothilicous
Buffalo Wild Wings
Big Herms
Croaker's Spot
Mosaic Restaurant
Strawberry Street Catering
Ronnie's BBQ

Fans can receive autographs from their favorite Redskins players and coaches at the conclusion of each practice, schedules permitting. This year, the Houston Texans will join the team for joint practice sessions from Aug. 6-8, coinciding with their appearance on HBO's HARD KNOCKS.
