#1. Ty kicked a school record setting 54-yard field goal while at UAB. He nailed the record setter in Columbus against Ohio State. He also hit a 47-yarder in the same game (2012)

#2. Ty's major at UAB was Industrial Distribution.

#3. Ty already has a kicking camp in the works. He's promoting it on his twitter account.

#4. Ty holds UAB's record for field goals. He hit 58 of them during his 4 years in Birmingham.

Bottom Line: Kickers have always been an odd bunch. Ty's already had ups and downs, even before signing with the Redskins. He was UAB's last kicker before they scuttled the football program. Then they revived a few months later. Not sure if that's good luck or bad luck!
