Dorial Green-Beckham

Wide Receiver

Height: 6' 5", Weight: 237 lbs

Missouri/Oklahoma

Strengths: Here we go! Another wide receiver draft profile. DGB has the size, speed, and strength to make the transition from college phenom to impact player in the NFL. At the Combine he ran a 4.49 second 40 yard dash. He also registered a 33 ½ inch vertical leap and a 9'11" broad jump. Green-Beckham has that second gear to blow past unsuspecting corners. His hands are soft, but in a football way, not a Palmolive way, so I'm told. He has great vision and can grab a throw even if he's late in seeing it. He has good body control and is not afraid to be physical with defenders.

Weaknesses: DGB is not a precise route runner. His routes are sloppy and he has a tendency to round his corners. He will also catch with his body, at times, instead of with his hands. His work ethic has been in question as has his maturity off the field including two arrests for marijuana possession (10/2012 and 01/2014). He was also dismissed from Missouri for "allegedly forcing himself into an apartment and pushing a female down the stairs" according to CBSSports.com, as well as his alleged involvement in a burglary. DGB was never formally charged in either instance, but it could still be considered strike one in the NFL's domestic abuse policy.

Bottom Line: Dorial Green-Beckham is a very raw talent. He has poor instincts on and off the field which could affect his draft status. He'll need coaching in both areas in order to find success. If not, he could find his stock falling due to the "Josh Gordon Effect". I'm registering that, by the way.

Projected Round: 1-2

Team He Fits Best On: Dolphins, Ravens, Chargers, Browns
