SUBWAY Restaurants has a new member to their ever-growing list of spokesmen. The newest addition to the SUBWAY family of famous fans is Marcus Mariota. Marcus is following in the footsteps of other famous fans from the NFL like Robert Griffin III, Mark Ingram, Justin Tuck, and Michael Strahan.
Apparently, Marcus has been a fan for a long time (who hasn't?). "Throughout my amateur career, I have always made sure to take care of my body with proper nutrition and training," said Mariota. "SUBWAY has been a staple in my diet since I was a young football player as the perfect meal before practices and games, and will continue to be part of my training regimen as I enter the professional ranks. I look forward to working alongside other Famous Fans to encourage individuals and families to lead a healthy and active lifestyle."
Marcus is partial to the Cold Cut Combo on Italian bread with American cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, sweet onion sauce, and ranch. I've always been partial to the seafood salad with onions and a little extra mayo. Might be why I'm not in the NFL...all that extra mayo.
Anyway, SUBWAY honored Marcus' endorsement with a statute; a statue made from ingredients found in all SUBWAY restaurants, including guacamole. I wish Hogs Haven would honor me with a statue made from stuff found in Ken Meringolo's fridge.
