Washington Redskins Draft Profiles: P.J. Williams, CB

Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2015 draft

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

P.J.  Williams

Cornerback

Height: 6' 0", Weight: 194 lbs

Florida State

Strengths: P.J.'s size works well for the cornerback position. He is aggressive and will sacrifice his body to make the play. He tackles well and hits hard, too. He possess the ability to either slip through blocks or fight through them. P.J. is quick and can keep his speed going downfield. He has great timing and ball skills. He works well in bump and run. He has both the swagger and the talent to back it up.

Weaknesses: P.J. is aggressive. He will have to adjust to NFL illegal contact rules or he will find himself penalized a lot. He has a tendency to stay on the high side when downfield. This leaves him vulnerable to comebacks. He won't be able to jam NFL receivers like he did at FSU. He will also play to the level of competition he's facing.

Bottom Line: P.J. Williams is a good cornerback. However, NFL analysts have said that he might be a higher pick as a safety.

Projected Round: 2-3

Team He Fits Best On: Redskins, Falcons, Ravens, Bills
