Multiple sources are reporting that Dante Fowler, Jr., the former Florida Gators DE/OLB, is visiting the Redskins today. This marks the first reported visit of a top prospect in this year's draft. McCloughan and the Redskins have had a lot of visits with late round prospects. Fowler has been linked to the Redskins for months in projections and mock drafts due to the team's high draft pick, and the loss of OLB Brian Orakpo in free agency. Fowler has met, or will meet, with multiple teams in the Top 10, and is considered a lock to be selected in that range.

Fowler is one of four top DE/OLB's that have been mocked to the Redskins at #5 this year along with Clemson's Vic Beasley, Missouri's Shane Ray, and Nebraska's Randy Gregory. Beasley and Fowler have risen up the boards as the draft gets closer, while Ray and Gregory have dropped for various reasons. But all four have question marks about their game at the next level. It's not guaranteed that the Redskins even go with an edge rusher in the 1st, but that has been the consensus position for months.
