Ian Rapoport is reporting that several teams will be interested in Chicago Bears DT Stephen Paea. Paea(6'1", 300 lbs, 26 years old) has a small connection to the Redskins via the NFL Draft. The Bears traded up with the Redskins during the 2011 draft, one of many trade downs that gave them 12 total draft picks. The Redskins picked up an extra 4th round pick from the Bears to drop from #53 to #62. The Redskins packaged that 4th round pick along with two 5th round picks to move up to select RB Roy Helu, Jr. Paea has started 40 games in his four year career with the Bears. He is credited with 94 tackles, 12 sacks, 5 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles.
One under-the-radar free agent poised for a competitive market: #Bears DT Stephen Paea. Count the #Redskins among those very interested.
