Washington Redskins Draft Profiles: Malcom Brown, DL

Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2015 draft.

Malcom Brown

Defensive Lineman

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 319 lbs.

Texas

Strengths: A very tall, wide, and all around big player.  Weight has typically been between 315-325 lbs.  Moves very well for a man his size.  Usually one of the quickest players off the ball and has a tremendous ability to penetrate the LoS and wreak havoc in the backfield.  Plays hard.  Never stops moving.  Does a good job of disrupting passing lanes (has batted down six passes over his career).  Strong with very good anchoring ability.  Plays with tenacity and effort.  He's also a very mature man.  He's married, has two children, and regularly volunteers for Adams Angels (organization for families with children who either have cancer or have died as a result of cancer).

Weaknesses: Needs to work on his hands.  Has trouble disengaging as well as grabbing and dragging down ball-carriers.  Lacks pass-rush moves.

Bottom Line: Excellent combination of size, strength, and agility.  Versatile enough to play, and be effective, in either a 3-4 or 4-3 front.

Projected Round: 1

Team He Fits Best On: Browns, 49ers, Texans, Chargers, Steelers, Lions
