The former Raider may be part of a solution to our S problem.

Tyvon Branch is a 28-year-old S who has spent his entire career up to this point with the Raiders.  He was drafted by them in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

As Boyer said in his tweet, Branch hits hard and is very fast.  So fast in fact, that he ran a 4.31 40 at the '08 NFL Combine.  He's 6', 210 lbs, and has amassed 475 tackles, 8 sacks, and 4 INT's over his seven year career.  In addition to playing S, Branch has some skills as a return specialist.

Branch is considered more of a SS than a FS and the Raiders used their franchise tag on him in 2012.  Later that year, he signed a four-year, $26.6M contract with the Raiders.

Branch has quite the history as a track and field athlete and was even the New York State Track Athlete of the Year after winning the '04 National Indoor Track Championship in the 60 meters.  He also finished first in the state in both the 100 and 200 meters as a senior.
