Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2015 draft.

Danielle Hunter

Outside Linebacker/Defensive End

Height: 6'5"

Weight: 252 lbs.

LSU

Strengths: Very long arms and a great frame that should be able to handle additional muscle with ease.  Great agility that, when paired with his length, makes him very effective against both the run and pass.

Very quick.  Good at using his quickness to get low and get under blockers while rushing inside.  Plays very physical and with good aggression.  Willing to sacrifice his body.

Stronger than he appears and plays with outstanding passion.  Good at knocking down passes when he can't get to the QB.

Weaknesses: Inconsistent at get-off.  Late getting out of his stance off the ball.

Bottom Line: A very dangerous edge rusher who is much better than his college production indicates.  Though a bit lanky, Hunter shows the explosive ability to be great, he's just inconsistent with that explosion off the ball.  Raw with loads of potential.  Started at ROLB for LSU.  Needs some coaching, but again, the potential is evident.

Projected Round: 2

Team He Fits Best On: Jaguars, Jets, Steelers, Seahawks
