Washington Redskins Draft Profiles: Kevin White, WR

Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2015 draft

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin White

Wide Receiver

Height: 6' 3", Weight: 215 lbs

West Virginia

Strengths: Before I start listing Kevin White's strengths and weaknesses, please understand that I am not suggesting the Redskins should draft a wide receiver. This is just a draft profile. Now that my disclaimer is out of the way, Kevin White is an exceptional talent. At the Combine, he ran a 4.35 second 40 yards dash. His vertical leap is 36 ½ inches. He finished the 2014 season with 109 receptions for 1,447 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He creates separation with excellent footwork. Combine that with his great vision and he is a play maker.

Weaknesses: White is fast, but not considered a "burner". He needs to improve his blocking skills. He sometimes has trouble creating space between himself and defenders. He doesn't have suddenness in space to shake coverage. He is pigeon-toed and runs heel to toe.

Bottom Line: Kevin White made huge leaps in confidence last year. If he continues to improve, his potential is almost unlimited. He is predicted to be drafted in the first round, and he's worth it.

Projected Round: 1-2

Team He Fits Best On: Raiders, Browns, Texans, Vikings
