Washington Redskins Draft Profile: Terry Williams, Swamp Monster...and DT

Hogs Haven takes a closer look at ECU defensive tackle Terry Williams and where he might land in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Terry Williams

Defensive Tackle

Height: 6'1" Weight: 353 pounds

East Carolina University

Strengths: Terry Williams' nickname is "The Swamp Monster." Now, I've met my share of Swamp Monsters at ECU, but none of them weighed 350 pounds...okay, maybe a couple. But none of them could dominate Virginia Tech at the line of scrimmage or run down a wide receiver screen.

Williams can occupy multiple blockers with his sheer size, but still has the athleticism to pursue the run and rush the passer.

Weaknesses: Williams weighs 353 pounds, and he looks every bit of it. He's definitely not an every down player, but he can be a force on running downs. He has had a marijuana arrest and was suspended from the team in 2012, but he's had his nose clean since.

Bottom Line: If a team is in need of a nose tackle, Williams is a nice player. He may not be a day one starter, but in the right system he can rotate nicely.

Projected Round: 4-6

Team He Fits Best On: Redskins, Steelers, Jaguars and Patriots.
