2015 NFL Combine Results: Quarterback Measurements

Robert Griffin III is the #1 QB going into the season, but there are a lot of questions at the position. Do the Redskins draft another QB this year?

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Jay Gruden made a point to let everyone know that Robert Griffin III was the #1 QB for the Washington Redskins...in February.  Griffin's play has been average at best over the last two seasons, and the other QBs on the roster who have seen playing time haven't produced wins either.  Kirk Cousins has been on the virtual trade block since he was drafted, and as he enters the final year of his rookie contract, time is running out.  Robert Griffin III is also entering the final year of his rookie deal, and Colt McCoy was only signed for last season.

The Redskins can ride with Griffin and Cousins going into this season and offer a contract to the one who wins the job, but they will likely need a 3rd QB on the roster given the recent history at the position(injury, ineptitude, insurance).  Will they re-sign McCoy, bring in another veteran, or draft a QB to groom.  It's hard to imagine they will use the #5 overall pick on another QB, but is anything out of the realm of possibility here.  More likely it will be a mid-late round pick, or possibly an UDFA.  This year's QB class looks historically weak, but that could allow the team to find value late in the draft. Also, if one of the top two falls to #5, the phones will start ringing, and Redskins GM Scot McCloughan will be there to make a deal

Here is a full list of the QBs that were weighed and measured at the Combine, and you can see the full list of Combine measurements here. The table is sortable, just click the headers in each column.
