2015 NFL Combine Results: Tight Ends Measurements

The Redskins could use an upgrade at Tight End this year, there are plenty of options in the draft

The Redskins tight end position needs some adjustments going into the 2015 season.  Jordan Reed has been injured during both of his NFL seasons, and wasn't getting the production and snaps expected when he came back into the lineup last season.  Niles Paul had a nice little run at the beginning of the season, but disappeared again later in the year.  Paul is a free agent, and could be one of the few players the team re-signs, but he will test his value on the open market.

Logan Paulsen is an overpaid player who should be upgraded this season either late in the draft, with a vet-min free agent, or with an undrafted free agent.  Paulsen's blocking is average at best, and the team saves $1.75 million in cap space by releasing him.  Jay Gruden loves tight ends for his offense, and the current crop can't make him happy.  The team did draft a TE last season, Ted Bolser in the 7th round, but he didn't make the team, and was eventually released from the practice squad.  Will Scot McCloughan find a new #1 TE in the draft this year, or just work on improving the overall depth and getting cheaper at the position?

Here is a full list of theTEs that were weighed and measured at the Combine, and you can see the full list of Combine measurements here. The table is sortable, just click the headers in each column.
