Everyone knew it would be a rough game going into Charlotte to face the undefeated Carolina Panthers, but the Redskins did themselves no favors by consistently putting the ball on the ground and/or in the hands of the Panthers.  Kirk Cousins threw an interception to Kurt Coleman that sailed over DeSean Jackson's head on the Redskins first drive of the game and the turnovers kept coming after that. Cousins also lost two fumbles as the Redskins offensive line was getting dominated.

Matt Jones also lost the 5th fumble of the season, and rode the bench until the end of the game, even with Alfred Morris out with a rib injury. Chris Thompson replaced Jones, and also put one on the ground that miraculously ended up in a Redskins player's hands. Jordan Reed joined the fun by also being stripped of the ball after a decent catch and run.

Cam Newton was pulled from the game in the 4th quarter after throwing 5 TD passes in the game. Kirk Cousins went 20 for 26 with one TD and one INT. His 56 yard TD pass to DeSean Jackson was one of the few highlights of the game, but the Redskins offense could not get the ball moving consistently. The only other highlight for the Redskins was an amazing 99 yard kickoff return TD by Andre Roberts.

The Redskins move on to the New York Giants next week.
