The Redskins are coming off their biggest, most dominant win of the season that saw them win all phases of the game for the first time in a long time.  The Saints defense has been bad, but it was next level bad last week, ultimately putting the final nail in defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's coffin. Kirk Cousins was excellent in the game, going 20-25 for 324 yards, and 4 TDs.  His decision making, and accuracy has been noticeably better as he continues to cement his status as the Redskins starter going forward.

Unfortunately for Cousins and the Redskins, they will not be playing the Saints defense every week, and now face a much better Panthers defense. The Redskins young offensive line will be tested this week, and Josh Norman has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league this year. The Panthers will be missing starting CB Charles Tillman, who will be replaced by Bene Benwikere who started 6 games last season. DeSean Jackson has looked better every week since returning from a hamstring injury, and should test Norman this week.

The Redskins run defense has been abysmal lately, consistently allowing 150+ yards on the ground and are currently the 3rd worst in the league.  The Panthers are currently averaging the 3rd most yards per game(139.7 ypg). Jonathan Stewart is the Panthers rushing leader with 662 yards and 4 TDs on the ground, but QB Cam Newton is right behind him with 366 yards and 6 TDs. The Redskins have to start containing the run game if they want to win two games in a row for the first time since last season.
