Washington Redskins vs New Orleans Saints Injury Reports

The Redskins enter Sunday's game against the Saints as the healthier team....say what?

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins had all 53 players on the roster on the practice field in some capacity this week for what seems like the first time in a long time.  The team looked like it was going to enter last week's game against the Patriots with no one ruled out, but NT Terrance Knighton was a late Saturday scratch due to cluster headaches.  Knighton looks like he will play this week, and was originally labeled probable, but was downgraded to questionable as a precaution.

Three other players are also listed as questionable for tomorrow's game, WR Andre Roberts(ankle), ILB Keenan Robinson(shoulder/neck), and CB DeAngelo Hall.  Roberts played last week, but was limited in practice this week with the wrist injury. Robinson has been limited all week, and didn't practice at all on Wednesday due to neck and shoulder injuries.  If he can't play, Will Compton will take his place, but if he is active, expect Compton to start in place of Perry Riley, Jr.  DeAngelo Hall has been more optimistic about his chances to play than coaches the past several weeks, and that continues this week.  Hall assured reporters that he would play against the Saints, but Jay Gruden did not sound as confident. If Hall is active, expect a limited amount of playing time for the veteran.

The return to the lineup of Chris Culliver and Bashaud Breeland is one reason the Redskins could keep Hall on the bench, or severely limit his snaps.  Last week Culliver returned to play 64% of the defensive snaps, while Breeland was in for 40%.  Culliver was still limited in practice this week, and Breeland was a full participant.  Expect both of their snap counts to increase this week as they get healthier.  Will Blackmon and Kyshoen Jarrett will continue to get any snaps that they miss.

One name not on this week's injury report for the first time since Week 2? DeSean Jackson. He has reportedly been full speed at practice, and will look to improve on his performance in his return to the field last week vs the Patriots.  In what could easily turn into a shoot out with Drew Brees and the Saints, Kirk Cousins will appreciate having the Redskins one, true deep threat back at full speed.
