The Redskins host the Bucs in their last game before the bye week

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

It's homecoming week for the Washington Redskins which is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. The Redskins enter Week 7 with a 2-4 record, and are hosting the 2-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are coming off of their bye. The Redskins desperately need a win going into their bye week with an away game against the Patriots waiting for them on the other side.  Jay Gruden and Kirk Cousins seats have been getting hot over the last few weeks, and a bad showing this week will make the next two weeks very interesting.  Last year's embarrassing loss to the Buccaneers was a tipping point for fan opinions on Robert Griffin III, and the same thing could happen with Kirk Cousins if he has a similar performance tomorrow.

On the field, the Redskins should be getting back two of their most impactful players with LT Trent Williams and TE Jordan Reed both being cleared from the NFL's concussion protocol program.  But they will still be missing center Kory Lichtensteiger and WR DeSean Jackson.  On defense the Redskins top two CBs entering the season are still sidelined by injury, but their replacements(Bashaud Breeland and Will Blackmon) have stepped up recently, with rookie Kyshoen Jarrett handling the slot CB duties.

The Buccaneers have been starting the 2015 #1 overall draft pick, QB Jameis Winston all season with mixed results.  He is 86 for 152(56.6 comp %) for 1,174 yards, 7 TDs, 7 INTs with 1 rushing TD and a lost fumble for the season. Doug Martin, who had slipped off most people's radars recently, has rushed for 100+ yards and at least 1 TD in his last two games.  Martin scored 2 rushing and 1 receiving TD in Week 5 vs the Jaguars, and will be facing a Redskins defense that has allowed and average of 198.5 yards on the ground over the last two weeks.
