OK, now that I got you to click on this article, no, the Redskins didn't hire Russ Grimm. But they did hire his son! The Redskins have announced the hiring of Chad Grimm as a Defensive Quality Control Coach.
Chad Grimm was most recently the Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Chargers (where Joe Barry was the LB Coach) and prior to that was an Offensive Quality Control Coach for the Cardinals (where his father Russ was the OL Coach).
Chad is a local from Fairfax, VA. He played as a LB at VT and went to Oakton HS in Vienna, VA.
Chad's father is well known around these parts. Russ Grimm was a HoF OL for the 'Skins and spent 21 years as an assistant coach in the NFL.
Wait, no TB connection, right? Wait. Chad's brother Cody also played at VT and went on to be drafted by the Bucs in the seventh round of the 2010 draft. He played for the Bucs from 2010-2012.
This will be Chad's seventh season in the NFL after the last two with the Chargers and the four years prior to that with the Cards.
