The Redskins officially announced the signing of safety Jamarca Sanford and the re-signing of cornerback Richard Crawford today. They also added one player to the practice squad, leaving one more spot left to fill. The team announced the signing of offensive tackle Terren Jones. Jones(6'7", 341lbs) was an undrafted free agent out of Alabama State who was signed by the Atlanta Falcons after the 2013 draft. He spent most of last season on the Falcon's practice squad before being signed to the 53-man roster in November. He was on the roster for the last 5 weeks of the season as a backup, but did not play a snap on offense or special teams.
Jones returned to the Falcons this year and had a scare during training camp when he was taken by ambulance to the hospital for a head injury. He had a concussion and was able to play in the final two Falcon's preseason games. He didn't make the final roster and was on the practice squad until he was cut last week to make room for another OT, Reid Fragel.

[UPDATE: Redskins are also re-signing OLB Gabe Miller to the practice squad. He cleared waivers today.]
The Washington Redskins just signed OLB Gabe Miller to the practice squad. He should be back on their 53 once other positions get healthy.
