DeSean Jackson Expected to Play Tonight vs New York Giants

DeSean Jackson is will play another division rival tonight while recovering from a shoulder injury.

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson will play against the New York Giants tonight as expected.  Jackson is still dealing with a Grade 1 AC joint sprain that he got in Week 2 against the Jaguars.  He was limited in practice in the week leading up to last Sunday's Eagles game.  Jackson was determined to play against his former team, and was able to catch an 81 yard TD pass, ending up with a stat line of 5 catches for 117 yards and 1 touchdown.

Jackson was limited again this week in practice, and was listed as questionable on yesterday's injury report.  Ian Rapoport reported that Jackson will indeed play, but will have the shoulder tested pregame to make sure it's fine for the game.  DeSean Jackson had a lot of motivation to play in his return to Philly game, but this game is as important, if not more for the team.  The Redskins are 1-2, in last place in the division, and already have a division loss.  DeSean Jackson also needs to reintroduce himself to his New York fans, now that he is wearing different colors.  Jackson's career line against the Giants in 11 games is 50 catches for 831 yards and 4 touchdowns.  He also has 1 rushing TD, and 2 punt return TDs.

Giants fans can breath easy, we don't expect DeSean Jackson to be returning any punts tonight...
