New York Giants vs Washington Redskins Wednesday Injury Report

The Redskins still have a lot of walking wounded going into tomorrow's game against the Giants.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Redskins and Giants have released their final injury reports for tomorrow's Thursday Night Football game.  The Redskins have already ruled out 3 players, QB Robert Griffin III, TE Jordan Reed, and ILB Akeem Jordan.  Griffin had the cast removed from his foot yesterday and will be reevaluated to get a better idea of how much time he will miss.  Jordan Reed told reporters this week that he would likely be out for the game, and next Monday's game against the Seahawks.  He is hoping to return by Week 6. There have been no updates on Akeem Jordan's knee injury recently.

There are 9 players listed as questionable going into tomorrow night.  Kedric Golston and Shawn Lauvao are the most likely to miss the Giants game, but both will be gametime decisions.  Lauvao hasn't practiced for the last two days after his knee started bothering him on Tuesday.  He was replaced in the Eagles game by Josh LeRibeus, and LeRib will likely get his first NFL start this week.  Golston was limited this week, and has a chance to play, but I'd lean towards another week out for him.

There are three more defensive linemen listed as questionable, and this could lead the Redskins to signing a DL to fill their open spot on the roster today.  Robert Thomas and Hebron Fangupo are both available on the practice squad.  Jason Hatcher, Chris Baker, and Frank Kearse all appear this week, but should all be available.  Hatcher was the only player who could not return to the game against the Eagles due to injury and he has been limited all week.

Tyler Polumbus(probable) and Kory Lichtensteiger both appear on the list, with Lichtensteiger appearing to be the more injured of the two with 3, yes 3 different injuries listed.  If Lichtensteiger can't play, that would mean RG Chris Chester shifts over to center, and rookie Spencer Long takes over at RG.

There are two players from the secondary listed as questionable.  FS Trenton Robinson has an abdomen injury that has kept him limited in practice.  CB Tracy Porter was signed this offseason and still hasn't played in a regular season game.  Coaches Gruden and Haslett both expressed hope that Porter would be able to play tomorrow.  DeAngelo Hall is done for the year which means David Amerson and rookie Bashaud Breeland should be starting.  E.J. Biggers has been playing the slot, and it will be interesting to see where Porter fits in if he is healthy.

And last but not least, WR DeSean Jackson is listed as questionable again this week.  Many people thought that he would be limited against the Eagles, but he was able to score huge TD against them and play most of the game.  He should play against the Giants, and has a history of torching them.

The Redskins have 5 players listed as probable. Brian Orakpo has ligament damage to his finger and will wear a cast/splint during the game.

Also RB Alfred Morris, K Kai Forbath, and ILB Keenan Robinson are listed, but they were all full practice this week.

The Giants are relatively healthy compared to the Redskins.  WR Odell Beckham Jr and LB Devon Kennard are both ruled out.  LB Jon Beason is doubtful, and will most likely not play.  The Giants have a clear advantage with the healthy of their roster going into the game, so the Redskins depth will need to step up in this game.
