Yesterday game against the Eagles was a war, and the Redskins have the casualties and the walking wounded to prove it. DeAngelo Hall(Achilles) and Duke Ihenacho(foot) were both placed on IR this afternoon. The Redskins have 17 players listed on today's injury and several players were dinged up yesterday, some worse than others. This comes at a bad time for the Redskins who have another division game against the New York Giants on Thursday night. That doesn't give the team much time to heal. The Redskins didn't have a full practice today, only an afternoon walkthrough, so this list is a little precautionary.
QB Robert Griffin III will be on this list for a while. He should have the cast off next week, and then doctors will be able to re-evaluate his ankle injury and give a timeframe for his recovery and return.
TE Jordan Reed should be getting closer to returning from his hamstring injury, but it might not be this week.
LB Akeem Jordan and CB Tracy Porter have been on the injured list since the preseason, and both were listed as limited today. Jay Gruden said today that Tracy Porter is getting closer to a return, but he didn't mention Jordan's status.
Kedric Golston has also been on the injured list for the last several weeks with a groin injury and was listed as liimited. Golston has worked out on the field before the last two games, but has not practiced during the week or been active on game day.
WR DeSean Jackson was able to play yesterday after his mild AC joint sprain the previous week. He is dealing with the pain from the injury and should be ready again on Thursday.
Shawn Lauvao injured his knee last week, but was able to start yesterday. He was forced to leave the game after his knee swelled up.
Brian Orakpo injured his finger yesterday, and will be seeing a hand specialist to determine he has any nerve damage.
The rest of the players listed as limited were: Chris Baker(Ankle/Hip), Jason Hatcher(Hamstring), Frank Kearse(Ankle), Kory Lichtensteiger(Groin/Rib/Hip), and Trenton Robinson(Abdomen).
The players listed on the practice report as full participants were Kai Forbath(Groin), Alfred Morris(knee), Tyler Polumbus(Knee), and Keenan Robinson(Shoulder).
