Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins Injury Report

Which Eagles and Redskins are injured heading into Sunday's division game.

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

The big names on the Redskins injury report are obviously Robert Griffin III and DeSean Jackson.  Head Coach Jay Gruden said that Griffin will have his dislocated ankle in a cast for at least 10 days, and then they will re-evaluate the injury.  He is the only player on the list who is already listed as out for Sunday's game.

DeSean Jackson did not practice with the team today, and was on the sidelines with the rest of the injured players.  Jackson was listed as day to day by Coach Gruden, and made it clear today that he plans on playing against the Eagles on Sunday.  He said that the swelling and soreness have gone down in his shoulder, and it shouldn't keep him out of the game.  Doctors will need to clear him for the game, and Gruden said he wants to see him practice on Friday and catch some balls over his head to feel comfortable playing him.

Kedric Golston is still sore, and will need to practice this week before he has a chance to play this Sunday.  The Redskins depth along the defensive line is still very thin with NT Barry Cofield on short-term IR, and it will be tested against the fast paced Eagles Sunday.

Kai Forbath is still working through a groin injury and was limited in practice today.  Last week the coaches decided to give kickoff duties to punter Tress Way, and that could continue until Forbath is fully healed.

Roy Helu, Jr. and Darrel Young were both banged up in the Jaguars game.  Helu was able to practice fully today, but Darrel Young was limited in practice with neck injury.  The injury was also previously reported as a back injury.

Shawn Lauvao also left the Jaguars game early with a knee injury.  He described it as a knee cap issue that he has dealt with before.  He was a full participant in today's practices.

Brian Orakpo has been dealing with an ankle injury since the Baltimore Ravens preseason game, and this is the first week that he has been listed as a full participant on the Wednesday injury reports.  He's been playing a minimum of 85% of the defensive snaps, and has looked good during games so far.

Rounding out the list are two free agents who have still not played any snaps for the Redskins.  ILB Akeem Jordan(knee) and CB Tracy Porter(hamstring) continue to sit out, and neither of them have practiced with the team since the preseason.

The Eagles have a lot of players on the injury report, but the majority of them practiced fully today. The biggest name on the Eagles report is ILB Mychal Kendricks who left Monday night's game against the Colts early with a calf injury.  He needed an MRI, and was unable to practice today.  Defensive Coordinator Billy Davis says he is day to day, and this puts his playing status on Sunday in question.

Rookie WR Josh Huff was injured in the preseason and has not played in a regular season game yet.  He was limited in today's practice.

CB Cary William was limited in practice today with a hamstring injury.
