Griffin’s injury casts pall over dominating win - Richmond Times-Dispatch:
Jacksonville had no answer for the Skins offense, and couldn’t get away from the defense. Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan recorded four sacks, while the team picked up 10 - tying the franchise record set in 1977.

Tying a franchise record for most sacks in a game with 10, the Redskins' defensive unit gave the Jaguars everything they could handle in a 41-10 victory.

"When you get hurt and your season is cut short, it’s devastating," Gruden said. "I’m sick about it for him. He’ll probably beat all the odds and be back quicker than anybody in the history of dislocated ankles. But now we have to move forward."
Jackson sustained the injury on a deep pass attempt from backup quarterback Kirk Cousins with a little less than seven minutes left in the first quarter. He bobbled the ball while falling to the ground, and a Jaguars defensive back landed on his shoulder.
"It was such a great feeling," said Ryan Kerrigan, who brought down Jaguars QB Chad Henne four times. "It was unlike anything I've ever been a part of before — to get that many sacks and just to play the kind of defense we played."
The Redskins ran 42 times for a total of 191 yards Sunday. Morris accounted for 22 carries for 85 yards, including first-half bursts of 18 and 23 yards.
Washington Redskins running back Silas Redd runs in for a 14-yard touchdown.
After recording four receptions for 86 yards in the season opener, tight end Niles Paul displayed his ability Sunday with 8 receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown.

"I’ve had it before, an AC sprain," Jackson said. "This one was a little vicious [with] the pain right on the bone. I’m day-to-day and hopefully I can get back for practice next week. Big week next week vs. Philadelphia. I’m just looking forward to getting treated and doing the things I need to do every day."
