Bashaud Breeland has made the news recently; not for his actions on the field, but off of it. He was cited for possession of marijuana in a gas station in Richmond just outside of training camp. So we know he likes weed. Here are five OTHER things you need to know about Bashaud Breeland.

#1. Ironically, Bashaud's first car was an ex-police Ford Crown Victoria.

#2. Breeland's hometown of Allendale, SC declared May 13, 2014 as Bashaud Breeland Day.

#3. Until he came to the Redskins, Breeland has always worn number 17 for his jersey. When training camp began, he was wearing number 26. When asked by Redskins Nation why he decided to change, his reply was "They gave me this when I got here. I was 17 when I was in high school, little league, college. When I got here, they gave me 26 and I ran with it."

#4. Earned second team All-ACC honors in the 2013 season after recording 74 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions, and 13 pass breakups. He played in 13 games, starting 12 of them. Breeland entered the NFL Draft as a junior.

#5. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was opposed to Breeland entering the draft. When the Redskins drafted him, he was only the 7th player from Clemson ever drafted by the team.

Jay Gruden told the Washington Times, "It's exciting to have corners that can run and [are] big like [Breeland] He knocked the ball loose a couple of times and it is really impressing me."

Bottom Line: Breeland is a physical, aggressive player. He'll need to reign things in a bit to avoid a lot of flags.
