Washington Redskins First Round of Roster Cuts

New, comments

The 3rd preseason game is over, now it's time to give 14 players some bad news

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The Redskins have finished their 3rd preseason game, and now it's a waiting game to see who is getting cut today.  All NFL teams have to cut their roster down to 75 players by Tuesday, August 26th at 4PM.  Coach Gruden said this week that roster cuts would begin the morning after the Ravens game.  The Redskins currently have 89 players on the roster after placing TE Mike Caussin on IR, and not filling his spot.  This leaves 14 players that will be getting their pink slips today.  Also teams like the Eagles have already made their roster cuts, so there is a slight possibility that the Redskins will claim players from other teams today as well.  Stay tuned.
