David Amerson
Cornerback
NC State
Drafted in the 2nd round, 51st overall in 2013.
Career Stats:
48 tackles, 1 FF, 2 INT and 1 TD
2014 Outlook:
David Amerson is being groomed to eventually replace DeAngelo Hall as the Redskins' premier corner. Amerson showed flashes in his rookie year, like picking off Matt Flynn for a 45-yard touchdown, but had his struggles as well. That was the story on him coming out of NC State. He was known as a real boom or bust corner.
As far as 2014, looking forward, Amerson has added about 6 or 7 pounds of muscle, according to John Keim of ESPN. At 6'1" and just over 200 pounds, Amerson was already the largest corner on the roster and should become a larger force in the secondary this year.
Roster Bubble:
David Amerson is making the roster and , barring injury, is the week one starter opposite Hall.
Personal Information:
David Amerson is a Greensboro guy, like Redskins great Jeff Bostic (who went to high school with iH8dallas' mom). Amerson is holding a football camp there on July 12th, for any of you Greensboro-area peeps with kids playing football.
Also, he intercepts passes a lot.
