The Redskins have signed DT Jake McDonough(24 years old, 6'5" 280lbs) according to his agent Glen Laskey. McDonough went undrafted in 2013, after finishing his college career at Iowa State. He finished with 89 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 passes defended, and 1 forced fumble. McDonough signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent, but was waived before preseason with an injury settlement. He then joined the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League. He was signed by the Colts to their practice squad in December, before returning the the Thunder this year. He recorded 9 tackles for the Thunder in 2014.
There has been no official word from the Redskins on the signing, and the team will have to make a corresponding move to add McDonough to the roster.
