ESPN 980's Chris Russell reports that Jason Hatcher and Stephen Bowen are expected to start training camp on the PUP list. Bowen had microfracture surgery on his knee and Hatcher required a knee scope following OTA's. Bowen was expected to start the list on PUP due to the nature of his surgery, and the expected recovery timetable. His stated goal was to be ready for the first day of training camp, but he might not be ready. Hatcher's arthroscopic surgery had a 4-6 week recovery timeframe. This week will be the 5th week since his surgery, and the Redskins won't rush the veteran free agent back to camp before he is ready.

There has been no official word from the Redskins, or confirmation from any other Redskins beat reporters so we will have to wait and see if this report is correct. Russell did not mention any other candidates for PUP, including WR Leonard Hankerson(ACL) and CB Richard Crawford(multiple knee ligaments). The team reported to camp today and will go through their physicals and conditioning tests before the team officially announces who is being placed on the PUP list.
