Jason Hatcher will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee with Dr. James Andrews, and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. That time table could jeopardize his participation in Redskins Training Camp which starts July 24th in Richmond. Camp runs from July 24th-August 11th.

Hatcher was one of the Redskins biggest free agent acquisitions this year, and will turn 32 this year. Knee surgery is not a good start to his Redskins career. Hatcher was specifically brought in to get after the QB, and disrupt the line of scrimmage as the Redskins try to shift to a 1 gap system. The age and injury history of the Redskins defensive line was a concern before free agency and the draft, and is still a concern now.
