2014 Outlook: Hall had a great 2013 season. In February 2014, DeAngelo signed a contract extension to keep him in DC for another four years. He ranks just below Ed Reed and Asante Samuel in interceptions by active players. He is one of only five active players with 40 or more interceptions. DeAngelo is showing no signs of slowing down. He signed a brand new contract in February and has a great opportunity to show his leadership on the field.
Roster Bubble: There is no doubt that DeAngelo Hall is making the 53 man roster. He signed a new contract in February and is excited to play. He plays harder than most of the younger corners in the league. As a lifelong Redskins fan, he's living his dream and is excited for the upcoming season.
DeAngelo Hall has been a great supporter of Hogs Haven and we appreciate him. He has even gone so far as to invite Hogs Haven to his Draft Party this year. In case you missed our interview with him, you can listen to it here. In addition to all he does for his team, his fans, and his family of seven; he also runs his own charitable foundation. According to its website The DeAngelo Hall Foundation, "is committed to helping young people choose alternative paths to violence through self-empowerment, advocacy and support of anti-violence programs". Hall knows firsthand about living through violence and tragedy. When he was 12 years old, his older brother was gunned down. Since establishing the foundation in 2006, DeAngelo has used his success to help children who are victims of violence to break that cycle and be successful.
