The Redskins trade with Dallas to give them the 47th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

After a trade with the Cowboys, the Redskins chose Trent Murphy, DE from Stanford with the 47th pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Trent is 6' 6", 261 lbs.  He was a consensus All American, a 5th year senior. He was also Walter Camp All America first team and All PAC12 first team. Trent's an incredibly productive edge rusher and is hard to control. He has a knack for beating blockers and finding his way to the QB.

In his 2013 season at Stanford he had 62 tackles, 23 and ½ tackles for loss. Trent also had 15 sacks and two forced fumbles and six pass deflections.

Trent is a solid defensive end and should be plug and play. He'll be a great player for the Skins and exciting to watch.

"I put my hand [on] the ground, get my hips up in the air and it's like I'm going hunting," said the fifth-year senior. "I'm going after something. There's an end point I'm trying to get to, and there's someone trying to stop me. It's man versus man. It's my favorite thing to do."
