The first round of the NFL Draft Thursday night was kind to the Redskins, leaving behind some quality prospects at positions of need, who also happen to represent great value for the Redskins at pick 34. Tonight will be a very interesting evening, as the Skims can take the nest step in solidifying the 2014 roster with their first pick.
There also remains the possibility that a trade involving Kirk Cousins could happen this evening, adding even more picks to the Redskins arsenal.
Below is my big board as it stands after round one.
Big Board:
Cyrus Kouandjio - OT Alabama
RaShede Hageman - DT Notre Dame
Joel Bitonio - OT Nevada
Marcus Martin - C USC
Xavier Su'a-Filo - G UCLA
Timmy Jernigan - DT Fllorida St
Jordan Matthews - WR Vanderbilt
Louis Nix - DT Notre Dame
Thursday night also eliminated a few positions from consideration. Cornerback, safety, and inside linebacker should all be off the board now at pick 34.
