Redskins Big Board for Pick 34 - Version 2.0

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Free agency has effected my big board heading into the draft. The recent additions of DeSean Jackson, Andre Roberts, Jason Hatcher, Ryan Clark, Tracy Porter, Shawn Lauvao, Adam Heyward, Akeem Jordan, Darryl Sharpton, and the re-signing of DeAngelo Hall, Perry Riley, Brandon Meriweather, Chris Baker and the tag applied to Brian Orapko, has drastically changed our draft needs; at least for the 2014 season. Even players like Colt McCoy, Mike McGlynn, Santana Moss, Clifton Geathers and E.J. Biggers, along with the addition-by-subtractions due to the release of Will Montgomery, Adam Carriker and Sav Rocca, could play a key roll moving forward.

My my top needs heading into the 2014 offseason were Right Tackle, Wide Receiver, Safety, Cornerback, Center, Defense Tackle and Inside Linebacker. Since then, I have eliminated four positions as immediate needs: Defensive Tackle, Wide Receiver, Inside Linebacker and Safety. Now, some of these may show up on my big board, but they may no longer be a position where that player is expected to come in and contribute immediately.

The Redskins have significantly moved closer to a Best Player Available approach.

Big Board:

Cyrus Kouandjio - CK is too good to pass up, at a great position of need, if his medical comes back ok.

Calvin Pryor - It's unlikely Pryor will be on the board, but if he is, he could learn the position behind the vet Clark.

Bradley Roby - Hall is no spring chicken, and his replacement will have to be eventually found.

RaShaede Hageman - Our defensive line is old, but talented. Hageman could give us some youth to build around.

Kyle Fuller - I have Fuller just a notch below Roby.

Xavier Su'a-Filo - I'm not for drafting a guard high, but this could be a BPA situation.

Joel Bitonio - I don't like any of the other later tackles besides Kouandjio, but Bitonio can play all three offensive line positions.

Marcus Martin - This is a big stretch, but if a trade-back were to happen, this is the player I'd target later in the 2nd.

Jimmie Ward - Again, not an immediate need, but could step in once Clark and Meriweather are gone.
